In the work scientific bases of producing novel bioactive polymeric materials and coatings with specific properties for modern medicine have been elaborated and combined. The complex of recent approaches for manufacturing the efficient composite materials, techniques for their medical-biological studies in vitro and in vivo. Physical-chemical and chemical methods of producing polymeric materials with silver nanoparticles in variety of matrices using their reducing ability (in situ) were developed. The novel principles of preparation of nanostructurized fillers, including hybrids, based on silver nanoparticles were elaborated and optimized, and their structure, basic properties and bioactivity when its introduced into composites were studied as well. It was found that the materials are characterized by constant and prolonged bactericidal activity even at ultralow content of active constituent. Physical-chemical features of nanofiller distribution depend on a structure of a matrix and nature of dispersed phase have been studied. Polymeric implant materials based on crosslinked polyurethane, silver nanoparticles and ferrocene having a clear bioactivity and high biocompatibility for filling the defects of bone tissue, the main affect of which includes the reducing inflammatoric reaction and shortening the achievement of proliferation phase of inflammatoric process have been produced. A biocompatible methyluracil containing implant material with prolonged activity for suppression of alteration and exudation in implantation area, activation of tissue regeneration was developed. Medical adhesive for bonding, fixation of tissue and bones, skin, filling bone defects, and activation of regeneration was developed. Medical adhesive has passed pre-clinical, clinical and qualification tests, has got state registration certificate as a medical product and directed to using in practical medicine. The complex of medical-biological tests for evaluation of bioactivity, biocompatibility and efficiency of application of polymeric implant materials for medicine was developed and successfully applied. The work is actual for Ukrainian science and industry and possesses deeping the knowledge in prospective areas of modern science and technology, like nanotechnology, multifunctional polymer composites, materials for medicine. The results are summarized in 30 scientific works, including 20 articles and 2 patents. The authors’ works are cited more than 100 times according to Chemical Abstracts, Scopus and Google Academia databases.
