The project is aimed at elucidating the taxonomic composition of oribatid mites and rove beetles in the protected areas of Transcarpathia. Due to the fact that these two groups of arthropods are one of the largest in species richness and numbers, they are the least studied and difficult in determinant. Transcarpathia is characterized by a significant degree of specificity of the species composition of arthropods compared to the rest of Ukraine, which gives great prospects in identifying new species for the region and for the country as a whole. When choosing the study area, the protected areas were selected as models, in which a large number of species that do not undergo anthropogenic impact and displacement by introduced species have been preserved. In addition, literature data and collections will be analyzed to ensure a holistic picture. All available data and findings will be entered into the database "Biodiversity of Ukraine", which will allow to generate maps, identify "white spots" and features of the distribution of rare species of oribatid mites and rove beetles. As a result of the conducted research, which will be of a holistic nature, recommendations for the conservation of endemic and rare species of arthropods will be developed. Taxonomic lists for model groups will be generated, which will significantly supplement the existing ones and will be included in the chronicles of the nature of the respective protected objects. The collected material will supplement the collections of the State Museum of Natural History, which will be used in the future for research on comparative analysis, morphometry, variability and ecological characteristics of species.
