Corrosion inhibitors are used to protect metal structures and equipment in environments of various aggressiveness, in the industrial atmosphere and in the refining industry. Usually, products and wastes from the processing of mineral raw materials from enterprises of the chemical, coke-chemical and petrochemical industries are used as corrosion inhibitors. Ukraine resource base is insufficient for the production of corrosion inhibitors, their active components are mainly imported from abroad. The use of synthetic inhibitors causes soil and water pollution. Therefore, to protect metal products and preserve the environment, a promising direction is the development and use of environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors. The aim of the project is to develop new effective environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors, which may of replacing known synthetic inhibitors that are used in various industries for anticorrosive protection of equipment and metal constructions. To solve these problems in the project was proposed the use of environmentally friendly organic compounds as a basis for the creation of effective corrosion inhibitors. The work involves the establishment of the mechanisms of the anticorrosive action of organic compounds of plant origin, in particular carbohydrates, on steels and aluminum alloys in environments of various aggressiveness, as well as their interaction with synergistic components. It is planned to develop practical recommendations for the use of synergistic inhibitory compositions based on environmentally friendly compounds in industry.
