At the present stage of development of domestic metallurgical production the issue of development of new and improvement of existing technical and technological solutions on effective removal of phosphorus from iron-carbon melts is actual at use as a metal charge of materials with the high content of phosphorus that 10 - 20% exceeds the level of world metallurgical practice. As a result of the research and development it is expected to obtain new scientific knowledge about the physicochemical laws of phosphorus removal from iron-carbon melts at different concentrations of other impurities and at different temperatures for the process chain: out-of-furnace treatment of hot metal - oxygen converter. Comprehensive comparative analysis of technical and economic indicators of metal charge processing with high phosphorus content for technological chain: out-of-furnace treatment of hot metal - oxygen converter will allow to establish the most rational technical and technological solutions for metal charge processing with high phosphorus content in accordance with domestic raw materials. Further implementation of the results of research and development, namely the improved technological regime of dephosphorization of iron-carbon melts, will increase the competitiveness of domestic metal products by reducing iron losses in the production of liquid steel for the technological chain: out-of-furnace treatment of hot metal - oxygen converter.
