22-26 травня 2017 року в Україні відбудеться Восьма європейська конференція «Planta Europa». Захід пройде під гаслом: «Врятувати рослини для майбутнього Землі».
1995 року було створено «Planta Europa» – провідну європейську мережу в галузі збереження рослинного різноманіття. Вона є об’єднанням установ і незалежних осіб, які діють разом задля збереження європейських дикорослих рослин і грибів та середовищ їх існування. Спільна мета членів цієї організації – припинення втрати біологічної різноманітності в Європі нині та в майбутньому. Наразі цією міжнародною ініціативою охоплено 77 організацій-членів із 35-ти європейських країн.
Для об’єднання природоохоронних зусиль і обміну інформацією «Planta Europa» раз на три роки проводить міжнародні конференції – щоразу в іншій європейській країні. Під час цих зібрань обговорюються успішні проекти, нові підходи й методи збереження рослин, а також координується діяльність із питань охорони природи.
Чергову – Восьму європейську конференцію «Planta Europa», яка пройде під гаслом «Врятувати рослини для майбутнього Землі», прийматимуть Ботанічний сад імені академіка О.В. Фоміна Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка, Інститут ботаніки імені М.Г. Холодного НАН України та Національний ботанічний сад імені М.М. Гришка НАН України.
Головною метою конференції буде оцінка успішності реалізації Європейської стратегії збереження рослин (ESPC) та оновлення цільових стратегій ефективного збереження рослин у Європі – на європейському, національному й регіональному рівнях.
Спільно з партнерами та під їх егідою українські вчені матимуть змогу ефективно реалізовувати різноманітні наукові та просвітницькі проекти європейського рівня – з метою підвищення ефективності збереження рослин у природі й культурі.
Реєстрація учасників конференції та прийом тез доповідей триватимуть до 31 березня 2017 року.
