Із 29 серпня по 1 вересня 2017 року на базі технопарку BBB Management GmbH Campus Berlin-Buch (м. Берлін, ФРН) тривала Перша німецько-українська «Літня школа з академічного підприємництва у галузі наук про життя».
Чотириденний захід було організовано Радою молодих вчених НАН України та BBB Management GmbH Campus Berlin-Buch за участі Національної академії наук України, Громадської організації «Unia Scientifica», Київського академічного університету НАН України та МОН України і The German-Ukrainian Academic Society/THE UKRAINE Network. Тревел-гранти для участі молодих учених у літній школі надала компанія «Svitla System».
Учасниками школи стали 13 молодих українських учених із університетів і установ НАН України, проекти яких було відібрано під час Форуму «Наука. Бізнес. Інновації – 2017» (25 травня 2017 року) та в рамках Science Innovation Contest (21 червня 2017 року).
До колективу викладачів літньої школи ввійшли як керівники біотехнологічних компаній та представники офісів патентування, так і бізнес-ангели, державні й приватні інвестори.
Метою літньої школи було надання талановитим молодим дослідникам з України стимулів для подальшого розвитку їхніх інноваційних ідей і можливої комерціалізації розробок, а також навчання практичним навичкам комунікації з представниками бізнесу. Зокрема, учасникам викладали основи підготовки бізнес-плану проекту й ознайомлювали з принципами трансферу технологій. Крім того, вони отримали корисні поради щодо захисту прав інтелектуальної власності й розвитку бізнесу.
Важливими частинами програми Літньої школи стали: підготовка та проведення учасниками трихвилинної пітч-сесії з презентацією своїх проектів перед представниками бізнесу й інвесторами, а також візит до Берліна – в офіс молодої компанії Labfolder.
«Перша «Літня школа з академічного підприємництва у галузі наук про життя» стала певним прецедентом успішного міжнародного проекту Ради молодих вчених НАН України, – відзначив голова Ради, науковий співробітник відділу сигнальних систем клітини Інституту молекулярної біології і генетики НАН України кандидат біологічних наук Олександр Скороход. – Учасники, українські молоді вчені, крім знань, отримали унікальний досвід перебування в середовищі технопарку, де чимало наукових стартапів перетворилися на компанії. Завдяки енергії та ентузіазму Ульріха Шеллера, генерального директора технопарку Berlin-Buch, а також допомозі з боку виконавчого директора THE UKRAINE Network Оксани Зойменіхт літню школу було організовано на дуже високому рівні. Сподіваємося, в наступні роки вдасться не тільки продовжити співпрацю, а й розширити її. Принаймні зацікавленість є з обох сторін».
«Учасники Першої Літньої школи постійно отримували позитивні відгуки від викладачів,– зазначив доктор Ульріх Шеллер. – Тому ми хочемо зробити таку літню школу щорічною – як ланку в системі безперервної освіти програми Berlin-Buch. Партнери зі співробітництва – такі, як Інвестиційний банк Берліна, – вже пообіцяли підтримку в майбутньому».
Проведення другої спільної німецько-української Літньої школи заплановано на літо-осінь 2018 року.
