The Ethnology Institute is a scientific research institution in the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This Institute was created in the February 1992. Now it is quite influential scientific ethnological centre of the whole Ukraine and performs research works in the fields of ethnography, folklore, art and museum studies. Through recent years the Institute staff is proceeding to elaboration of theoretical ethnology, namely to the problems of Ukrainian natiology, ethnolinguistics, urban and gender studies ets.
