I was born 1960 in Ivano-Frankivsk where graduated from high school affording intensive study of German in 1977 and went to the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University. Graduated the Department of Physics in 1985 majoring in theoretical physics. In the same year I entered postgraduate course at Institute of Geophysics (IGP) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and training in JIRN (Dubna) specializing in general relativity till 1988. 1995 I did an internship in digital modelling in geophysics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, minored in tectonophysics. My PhD I got 1996, with academic career at IGP from engineer to leading scientific member and departmental director. Starting 2016 - head of the Explosion Geodynamics Section of IGP NASU.
