Born 5(18).04.1903 in the Khazhin village, Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region. In 1929 he graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. From this year he started working at the Institute of Chemistry as a junior researcher of the electrochemical laboratory. In 1936 he was awarded the title of Candidate of Chemical Sciences without the thesis defence and transferred to the post of senior research. In 1939 he became the head of the corrosion department of metals. His activity was aimed on the development and implementation of anti-corrosion coating methods for the metalworking industry. In particular, the most important achievement in the practical field were the development of methods of cyanide-free copper plating, aluminization of iron products, electrolytic tinning and galvanizing. In 1963 he defended his doctoral dissertation. He worked for six years as Deputy Director for for Scientific Work (30.01.1957-16.02.1962). Author of 70 scientific papers. He established the dependencies between the anti-corrosion properties of the alloys, their phase composition, microhardness and surface tension; explained the mechanism of formation of the surface corrosion-resistant layer in various corrosive environments.
