He was born on December 25, 1968 in Zaporizhia. From 1986 to 1993 he studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1988-1989 he served in the army.

Ferrocene-Containing Functional Materials : preparation and characterization of organometallic functional materials with specific redox, optical, and photocatalytic properties. Design of donor-acceptor assemblies for light-harvesting and molecular electronics.
Oxygen-Transfer Reactivity of High-Valence Molybdenum Complexes : preparation, characterization, and oxygen-transfer reactivity of discrete molybdenum complexes, which mimic active sites in molybdopterin enzymes.
Oxygen-Transfer Reactivity of High-Valence Transition-Metal Macrocycles : design, characterization, oxygen-transfer reactivity and reaction mechanisms of transition-metal phthalocyannines and their analogues.
Computational Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry : modeling of electronic structures and spectroscopic properties (Mössbauer, EPR, UV-vis, NMR, etc ) in inorganic and organometallic compounds.
