Summary:Carbon nanomaterials such as fullerenes (OD), carbon nanotubes (ID), graphene (2D), nanodiamonds and nanographite (3D), and their composites have stimulated remarkable experimental and theoretical developments in nanoscience and nanotechnologies over the recent years. The unique structure and extraordinary physical, chemical, mechanical, and biological properties of each nanocarbon modification generate large expectations for their applications re-garding nanoelectronics, photonics, optoelectronics, materials science, and medicine. The basic understanding of the physical and chemical nature of carbon nanomaterials is the topic of this School-Seminar. It will bring together French and Ukrainian scientists in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials science, and biomedicine to discuss and stimulate the advancement of science and technologies of nanocarbons. The School-Seminar covers recent progress in such areas of research of the carbon nanomaterials as follow: 1. Synthesis and Preparation Methods; 2. Characterization Methods; 3. Theoretical Studies and Modelling; 4. Electronic and Thermal Transport; 5. Magnetotransport; 6. Nanocarbon-Polymer Composites; 7. Bioactivity. The official language of the School-Seminar is English.
