Summary:У збірнику наводиться інформація про всесвітньо відому Патонівську науков-інженерну школу в галузі зварювання та споріднених технологій, яку біло створено видатним ученим, академіком Є.О. Патоном і розвинено гідним продовжувачем його справи, його сином, академіком Б.Є. Патоном. Висвітлено основні етапи становлення та розвитку цієї школі, її вплив на розвиток світової зварювальної науки і техніки, її внесок у забезпечення економічної та воєнної безпеки країни. Дати та події розглядаються на тлі історичних подій XX і початку XXI століть, які викликали знакові зміни в державному, політичному й соціально-економічному середовищі життя та діяльності Інституту і країни і цілому. При підготовці огляду було використано розробки відділу економічних досліджень ІЕЗ, мемуари Є.О. Патона, книги, статті та спогади ветеранів Інституту, архівні матеріали та офіційні документи з даної тематики, публікації вітчизняних і зарубіжних авторів.

Summary:The collection contains information about the world-renowned Paton's engineering and engineering school in the field of welding and related technologies, which was created by a prominent scientist, academician E.O. Paton, and developed by a worthy follower of his case, his son, academician B. E. Paton. The main stages of the formation and development of this school, its influence on the development of world welding science and technology, and the contribution to the provision of economic and military security of the country are highlighted. Dates and events are considered against the backdrop of historical events of the 20th and early 21st centuries, which caused significant changes in the state, political and socio-economic environment of life and activities of the Institute and the country as a whole.During the preparation of the review, the development of the Department of Economic Research of the IES, the memoirs of E.O. Paton, books, articles and memoirs of the Institute veterans, archival materials and official documents on the subject, publications of domestic and foreign authors were used.
