Подано основні поняття як національного, так і міжнародного законодавства, що стосуються використання та охорони лікарських рослин; висвітлено стан ресурсів їхніх видів в Україні, накопичення біологічно[⇒] активних речовин; висвітлено застосування їх у різних регіонах світу в офіційній та традиційній медицині, надана інформація про лікарські рослини України та їх біологічно активні речовини, які є джерелами зарубіжних та вітчизняних рослинних препаратів і лікарських засобів. У підручник входять методичні матеріали для оцінки (обліку) лікарських рослинних ресурсів.

Summary:The textbook contains information on current trends of evaluation, using and conservation of resources of medicinal plants, lichens and fungi. The basic concepts of both national and international legislation concerning the uses and protection of medicinal plants are outlined; the status and conditions of wild plant resources in Ukraine are considered, as well as accumulation of[⇒] biologically active substances by these species. The application of medicinal plants in various regions of the world in the official and traditional medicine is analyzed, as well medicinal plants of Ukraine and their biologically active substances, which are sources of the foreign and native herbal drugs and medicinal remedies. The textbook includes the methodological materials for evaluation (assessment) of medicinal plant resources.
