Summary:One of the topical problems of Ukrainian ceramology, as a scientific discipline, is a non-availability of the scientists’ textbooks and the museologists’ methodological materials for the attribution and description of ceramics.The authors propose the unified scientific terminology system for describing clay pottery for use in the everyday museum work and in scientific[⇒] ceramologies publications. The consistency of the actions to describe the objects was considered. The linguistic features of the correct use of scientific terminology in сeramology and museology are found out.
