The study is devoted to the development of methods, tools and practical techniques for control modes of power systems of Ukraine taking into account the transition to the new competitive electricity market model of Ukraine, as well as the implementation of the relevant European and international regulatory framework. The scientific significance of the work lies in an complex solution to solving the problems of the organization and improvement of control processes in power systems of Ukraine, which combines: the development of the organizational principles of adaptive demand response management systems, and the organization of information exchange in Smart metering systems; implementation of intelligent instrument transformers for power systems; creation and implementation of models and software of forecasting consumption of electricity and power; development and implementation of techniques and practical methods for determining the costs of ancillary services for frequency and voltage control; adaptation, harmonization and implementation in Ukraine of the European regulatory framework for the power systems management and associated information exchange.
The results of the work are reported to the National Commission for state energy and public utilities regulation, Ukraine, National enterprise "Energorynok", as well as in few power companies. The results obtained were tested and discussed in more than 10 international scientific conferences and many scientific and technical seminars. Ten implementation acts were received as well as the inquiry about cost-effectiveness of the work results. On the results of research 2 monographs and more than 40 scientific publications are done, including the science journals, which included in the bibliographic database Scopus.
Implementation of the proposed methods, tools and techniques can significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of control of modes of power systems , a significant economic effect, meet the requirements of ENTSO-E for integrated power system (IPS) of Ukraine and to ensure background for integration of IPS of Ukraine in the interconnection of European countries.
