The aim of the work - investigation of the electrophysical phenomena that occur under the influence of an electric field in oxide nanomaterials and development of media for storage of electrical energy based on oxide materials. Successful implementation of the project will lead to scientifically sound principles of development of new functional materials and to creation of modern devices of accumulation of electric energy. Expected results The structure of zirconia nanopowders of different particle size and phase composition will be studied using a set of integrated and local methods, the influence of surface hydration of nanoparticle ensembles on their electrophysical properties will be investigated. As a result, the optimization of the characteristics of the materials used in the work will be carried out to obtain functional media for energy storage devices with the required electrical properties. The main characteristics of electrokinetic processes occurring in hydrated nanopowder systems based on zirconia under the action of an electric field will be determined, and physical and chemical conditions for the accumulation of electrical energy in such systems will be established. The idea of the project The idea is to scientifically substantiate the process of creating a functional media in which the Maxwell – Wagner effect can be realized, i.e. the occurrence of polarization at the interface between two materials with different dielectric properties when electric current passes through such interfaces. As a result, surface charges accumulates at the interface of phases having different values of electrical conductivity and dielectric constant. In compacted nanoparticles of zirconia (ionic conductor) such a state can occur when a direct electric current is applied in the presence of water molecules (polar dielectric) on the surface of nanoparticles. An additional advantage of the proposed materials is their bioinertness to humans and the environment.
