The purpose of scientific research is to establish the peculiarities of hydrocarbon distribution in Oligocene-Miocene deposits of secondary mineralization of the Krosno Zone of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Pre-Carpathian Depression of the Western region of Ukraine. Research methods: field geological (dec_ription of pits and core, sampling for analytical determinations), mineralogical-ontogenic (diagnosis of minerals by X-ray phase analysis), crystal morphological, geochemical, thermobarogeochemical-mineralofluidological, mass spectrometers. General research plan: 2021. Generalize and systematize own and literature materials on the distribution of hydrocarbons. Sampling for analytical determinations. 2022. Make analytical determinations. To study the results of analytical determinations and on their basis to build a map-scheme of hydrocarbon distribution in Oligocene-Miocene deposits of the Krosno Zone of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Pre-Carpathian Depression of the Western region of Ukraine. The relevance and importance of the research results are that in combination with geological and geophysical materials will help clarify the prospects of oil and gas and the forecast of hydrocarbon deposits in the Oligocene-Miocene deposits of the Krosno Zone of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Pre-Carpathian Depression. This will allow to supplement the known criteria for forecasting and searching for hydrocarbon-containing formations in the Western region of Ukraine.
