The general plan of the research provides substantiation of theoretical and methodological bases for determining the impact of institutional convergence policy on industrial development and development of conceptual approaches to the formation of a set of institutional measures aimed at overcoming destructive competition in industry. The idea of the study is that in the absence of institutional convergence, any measures aimed at overcoming destructive competition in industry will be ineffective, as they will be opposed by businesses. In order to avoid destructive competition, businesses need to have personal incentives that are institutionalized. The main scientific hypothesis accepted for development is that institutions alone are not able to regulate social relations. In order for state mechanisms of institutional regulation to be effective, parity between state interests and the interests of economic entities must be achieved, ie a state of institutional convergence must be achieved. The main stages of work: Stage I. Study of the impact of institutional convergence policy on competitive relations in industry. Stage II. Development of conceptual approaches to the formation of a set of institutional measures aimed at overcoming destructive competition in industry. Socio-economic significance of scientific work is that the development of a set of theoretical and methodological principles for determining the impact of institutional convergence policy on industrial development will determine the adequacy of existing institutions and their institutional conditions in industry and improve existing and form new institutions.
