The aim of the work is to develop scientific and technical bases for the organization of hydrodynamic processes and refining of steel in the tundish CCM by optimizing the configuration of the metal receiver and providing refining purge with argon through porous blocks. The idea of the work is that due to the performed studies of the peculiarities of the organization of hydrodynamic processes and refining of steel in the tundish CCM it will be possible to optimize the mixing of metal and solve the problem of increasing the stability of the casting process. Due to this optimization, the casting technology in the conditions of metallurgical micro-mills will be improved in terms of creating new metal receiver designs and elements for blowing metal with argon. The industrial value of the developed devices for receiving and distributing the melt in the tundish will increase the productivity of CCM and SCCM by 15-20%. The number of non-metallic inclusions will decrease by 25-50%. The service life of the tundish lining will be increased by controlling convective flows. The developed scientific and technical bases of the organization of hydrodynamic processes and refining can be used at various metallurgical enterprises, including at creation of new types of refractory products.
