In the cycle of research papers the fundamental bases of stress response of plants and formation of adaptation are investigated, and the practical possibility of increase of resistance to adverse factors of abiotic and biotic nature is shown. The influence of actually stress factors in the territory of Ukraine, such as high temperatures, dehydration, salinity, pollution by heavy metals and phytopathogen affection was studied. The plants of different taxonomic groups (pea, cucumber, corn, wheat, barley, millet, day lily, pine, oak and maple) used as the experimental objects. The number of important biochemical indicators for the development of stressprotective response at the influence of adverse factors and at the use of methods, directed on increase of resistance of plants, is investigated. The contribution to studying of functioning of signalling networks of plants and also interreactions of certain components of signalling systems is made. The possibility of use of ecologically safe positive influence of treatments with exogenous signal mediators (calcium salts, hydrogen peroxide, salicylic, succinic and jasmonic acids, donors of nitric oxide), antioxidants (ascorbic acid, ionol), growth regulators (zeastimulin, agrostimulin, emistim C) and other methods for the purpose of increase of plants resistance to stressors of various nature is shown. The physiological-biochemical substantiation of use of these methods is given at the influence of different stressors, in particular, the increase of resistance and reduction of adaptive period of plants, activation of enzymatic (SOD, catalases, phenol peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase) and non-enzymatic (ascorbate, proline, carbohydrates, glutathion) antioxidative defense systems, redistribution of accumulation of heavy metals, stabilisation of pigmentary complex and other important stressprotective reactions is shown. In the field experiments the positive influence of ecologically safe methods of resistance induction by physiologically active substances on the growth and development of plants, accumulation of fresh and dry above-ground weight, indicators of water regime, productivity, yield structure and quality is shown. The cycle of research papers includes 82 scientific publications for 5 years (2010-2014): one monography, one chapter in foreign English-speaking monography, 31 scientific article (9 in international journals of databases Scopus and Web of Science) and 49 theses of reports. Papers of authors are cited in over 200 scientific publications. The citing index in database Google Scholar amounts 3,3, summary h-index = 8; in database Scopus – citing index = 2,0, summary h-index = 5. Total number of publications of authors is over 250, including for 2010-2014 – 98.
