The Workshop “Contemporary Analysis and Nonlinear Boundary Problems” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of B.V. Bazaliy (1937-2012) and the centennial anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will be held in October 17-18, 2018 at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (IAMM) of the NAS of Ukraine.
The workshop aims to review and discuss the latest trends in Free Boundary Problems, PDE and Analysis.
THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP
- Free boundary problems: theory and applications;
- Qualitative analysis of PDE;
- Fractional Calculus and equations with nonlocal operators;
- Mathematical analysis of compressible and incompressible fluid mechanics, including complex fluids;
- Mathematical models for evolutionary biology (deterministic models and stochastic processes);
- Approximation theory.

Bazaliy Borys Vasylovych was a Ukrainian mathematician, Professor at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NASU. His most influential contributions are in the area of free boundary problems, nonlinear PDE and their applications to Mathematical Biology.
