- creation of the automated complex for solving direct and inverse problems of gravimetry,
magnetometers and geothermia for three-dimensional layered media. The system is widely
used for industrial purposes, and is also used in solving problems related to the study
of the structure of the earth's crust. In particular, with its help, the deep structur
e of the Black and Mediterranean seas, the marine and coastal areas of the Netherlands,
the Dnipro-Donets depression and other sedimentary basins is studied.
Since 1996 O.V. Legostaeva has published more than 60 scientific works in the leading
international and domestic journals. Participated in reports at international conferences.
Materials of conferences, except Ukraine, are published in Russia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands,
France, Austria, Spain, Poland and Romania. O.V. Legostaeva -
scholarship of the President of Ukraine in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
In 2003 received a grant from NAS of Ukraine for young scientists on the topic
"Creation of an automated system for the interpretation of a complex of geophysical
data and their use for the study of the deep structure of the Black Sea depression".
She has repeatedly participated in the organization and holding of international conferences within
EUROPROBA, EUROBRIDGE and DOBRE programs.
