Olga Usenko was born on June 21, 1966 in the city of Kiev. In 1973, she began to study at the secondary school No. 30 in Kiev. She graduated from school in 1983. In 1983, she entered the Kiev State University. T. Shevchenko. In 1983 she received a degree in geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits. After graduation she entered postgraduate study at the Kiev State University, specializing in mineralogy, in the department of mineralogy, geochemistry and petrography.
