He was born June 9, 1898 in the village Stepan of the Sarny district of Rivne region. In 1907-1912 studied at the Stepan School, in 1912-1915 at the Kiev Military Feldsher School, and later served at the Zhytomyr Military Hospital. In the fall of 1918 was demobilized, and a year later he was drafted into the Red Army, where he served for 5 years. In 1923 entered the chemical faculty of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, which graduated on June 8, 1928, received the qualification of engineer-technologist. Before graduation from the Institute, on January 13, 1928, he was approved by the postgraduate student at the Department of Chemistry. He completed his postgraduate studies in January 1931. From 1931 to 1952 worked at the Institute of Chemistry as a scientist, senior scientist, head of the Laboratory of electrochemistry. At the same time, worked as a head of the departments: in 1936-1944 - in Kiev Institute of Chemical Technology and in 1944-1975 - the Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1941), Professor (1942), has the USSR State Awards. He is the author of more than 60 scientific works, including two large monographs.
Died May 8, 1988.
Developed the theory of cathodic processes, studied substances of high and ultrahigh purity, galvanic coatings for protection of metals from corrosion, electrochemical methods of obtaining alloys and metal powders.
