Was born on December 13, 1960 in Kyiv. In 1977 graduated from high school № 173 named after V.Ya. Chubar Kyiv and entered the Faculty of Chemistry of T.G. Shevchenko Kyiv State University. In 1982 graduated from the University with a degree in Chemistry of Monomers and Polymers. Immediately entered the postgraduate course of the Institute of General Inorganic Chemistry for a stationary form of study. After graduation, in 1984 worked at the Institute in the positions of engineer, junior researcher, researcher, senior researcher. In 1988 defended Ph.D. thesis under the guidance of Member of the NAS of Ukraine S.V. Volkov, and in 2000 – doctor thesis. Worked at the Institute until 2011.
He has lectured at leading research centers in Europe: Universities of Padua, Venice (Italy) and Lausanne (Switzerland), at the Federal Polytechnic Institute (Lausanne, Switzerland), at the research centers of Domier and Messerschmitt-Boelkow-Blohm (Germany), OMW AG (Austria). In 1992-1995 was a member of the International Advisory Committee on Functional Gradient Materials. During 1993-1994 was a visiting professor at the Institute of Chemistry, Inorganic Technologies and Advanced Materials of the Research Council of Italy (Padua, Italy), and in 1995 was a visiting professor at the Federal Polytechnic Institute (Lausanne, Switzerland).
Investigated organometallic and coordination compounds of metals of group 4 with alicyclic spherically shielded alcoholic ligands.
