Was born in December 1909 in Polonne, Khmelnytsky region. After graduating from Kyiv State University in 1935, worked at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR as a laboratory assistant, then a junior and senior researcher in the laboratory of electrode processes. In 1940 under the guidance of prof. O.K. Kudra for the first time, curls separated zirconium from the molten medium and obtained zirconium alloys with aluminum.
In 1954 defended PhD dissertation "Investigation of some regularities of the separation of powdered metals at high current densities", and then wrote a monograph. Also studied the anode behavior of lead alloys in the electrolysis of molten salts, in particular, zinc, cadmium, arsenic, tin, and gold. Investigated the mechanism of electrode processes in titanium electrolysis and the conditions of obtaining titanium metal by electrolytic reduction at the cathode.
Author of more than 30 scientific works, including two monographs. Was awarded the Medal for Valuable Labor in the Great Patriotic War.
Worked at the Institute until 1972.
